Found this Seawolf in the wild tonight. Set on 50 cents a play. Played about 6 times. Talked to the owner. I might make a offer on it.

Whats a working SeaWolf worth??

Haven't played the game but I have read enough on here to know they aren't terribly common. Seeing something like that out on location is pretty nice. The only classic I see around here is Ms. Pac.

I wouldn't offer more than $300 and start around $200. They guy may be ready to get rid of it.

Yeah, it's OK to "feel" around. I like to start with ...

"So... what are you looking to get for her?"

...which ends up being followed by the seller with "I dunno... whatcha offering" more than half the time.

:D

EDIT: Wait a second... I just realized who the op is. Nevermind. You know WTF you're doing. :D

Yea this operator is all over the board with prices. Sometimes low and sometimes way over priced. I talked to him a little yesterday and he gave me a little info on the machine. Its really in awesome shape and he knows it. I didnt want to seem to excited at first. Im going to take it slow on this and go to his warehouse to look at some other stuff then work back to a conversation on this. I think Im going to be looking at something around mrbill2084's estimate.

SeaWolfs are in the 5-600 range? WOW....along way from when I bought one on Egay for $150. Maybe retail would support $600 but I'm thinking the game is around $250. It IS pretty clean...

Of course, if you buy it, then there'll be less 'in the wild', ever thought of that? :p

Ok thanks, thats what I need more estimates:) Maybe I will cap offer around $400. Not sure if I can do much better even sideart is in amazing shape.

Always remember to view things from the operators perspective- if games don't earn, then they aren't worth as much to them, no matter how beloved they might be by collectors.

Way back in the early days of RGVAC, I remember a collector doing a bulk buy from an operator. The op had both a Quantum and an I,Robot and the collector was almost afraid to ask, how much?

When they were totaling up the games he'd already picked out, the operator said something along the lines of, if you buy all these, I'll throw in those two (Quantum & I,Robot) because they never earned anything.

There's been a lot of interest in SW's in the last couple years. I got mine for $60, did my best to restore it. I was offered $1000 earlier this year for it. That doesn't mean that the next 20 people that potentially would like to buy it would offer more than $250. It's a matter of what I would let it go for. I'd be careful about lowballing this guy and pissing him off if you really want the game. $400 is a good opening offer.
