Seawitch

had it many years ago.. not bad if you like old sterns/bally games
(but nothing compared to dmd games)
very fast game if set up correctly

It's a pretty damn fun classic Stern. For its era it is a really great, fun pin.

I paid $900 for mine working with a nicely restored varathane coated playfield. Needs a new backglass eventually though IMO.

I'd say if you can get one for around $500-750 in nice condition its a must have. Plastics sets are available, and if rumors are true the backglass and playfield will be reproduced by CPR someday (unless the artist flakes out).

For a project shoot for more like $350-500.

Just sold one at the Texas Pinball Festival with a condition 8 PF, condition 6.5 cabinet, decent plastics, fully shopped and working, with repro backglass (John Greatwich in Canada did a handful of these a few years back) for $800.

Fun game, classic Stern goodness, nothing I wanted to keep; I have owned Quicksilver, Nine Ball, Meteor, and Seawitch at one time, and all have left the building.

You should play it in PinMAME and decide if you like it or not unless you're getting a steal of a deal on it.

You also have to keep in mind that currently the only repro stuff available is the plastics set (and I guess the spinner, pop bumper caps, and drop target set if you count that)... and that it is not a new pin with a DMD, ramps, multiball, voice, etc.

It does however have a mid playfield flipper with a cool loop shot, an attractive art package, somewhat cool sound effects, a basic but solid ruleset, and lots of drop targets. It's a game that is all about hitting the right objects to set up the multipliers and scoring a lot of points, not much else.

If you want a game from that era with tons of bells and whistles I'd hold out for a Gottlieb Haunted House or Black Hole. If you need something with voice and lots of sweet toys then I'd hold out for a late 80s to early 90s Williams title.
