Just got back from the show. Was great as usual, but seemed like there were a few less pins than last year. Stayed at the Inn @ Queen Anne hotel -- highly recommended. Right across the street from the convention center & priced @ about $75/night.
Entered my first tournament on Saturday, placed 35th.. I was ok with that, especially as the five pins used in the tourney were titles that I have played maybe 2 or 3 times at most before & did not really know the rulesets & what shots to shoot for. That & the tilts were set TIGHT. I merely breathed on the Whitewater & tilted out on two of my 3 balls (though I suppose it could be my style of play ) -- They need to have an EM & maybe an early SS in the tournament lineups to make it a bit more even for us old guys.
I liked new Stern AC/DC pin, Marcos had a pretty cool setup for the premium version showing off the impressive sound system on the pin. Jersey Jack had a working version of WOZ, I watched gameplay for a bit. Nice game, cool "backglass", but the theme is kind of gay in my opinion (not that there is anything wrong with that).
