A few years ago I noted the lack of any sort of collective group here in the Atlanta area and so I created an email listserve that has been pretty helpful. We share info on local deals, get togethers, repair problems, etc. It's been a good couple of years, and we have over 30 members now.
However, after we interviewed Blkdog7 on the Gameroom Junkies podcast, I got to thinking more and more about the local collecting community. I realized that the collecting community is my area is bigger than just Atlanta. I know John created New England Arcade Collectors Forum (NEACF) and has had great success. Therefore, in the same vein, I created www.SEACF.com - Southeastern Arcade Collectors Forum.
This forum is not to compete with KLOV, it is just a more robust tool for the local area collectors to keep things "in the family". If you're in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Mississippi, South Carolina, or Tennessee, I invite you to join. Yes, I know that this is a much larger area than New England, but many collectors in neighboring states may not have any sort of collector community presence.
Not to be an elitist or a PITA, but you have to be a member to view the forums. I did this to keep it "all in the family". I hope you'll check it out and sign up.
