I picked this up from GorfChampion in the beginning of October. He had restored the periscope, cleaned the mirrors and repainted the step. I got it home and it fired up, but I could not start a game. Sent my boards out to Alex Y and got them back yesterday. Cleaned the inside of the cabinet out, installed the boards and at first I couldn't get an image. Reseated the power connector a few times and it finally came up. I have a monitor wave issue so I am hoping replacing the fuseblock and fuses will cure that. Otherwise, here she is pre-gameroom:

I wanted to play Sea Wolf at CAX, but after watching the numerous dirt bags put their gnarly faces up to that periscope, I passed. Looks fun though. Maybe next year, I'll bring sanitizing wipes for that game so I can check it out.

You have a spot picked out for it?

Is the marquee light really shining into the monitor area?

Be really cool to replace the marquee light bulb with blue leds :)

there's a blacklight blub in the cab for lighting up the explosion lights, but no marquee lights. the lights that light up the bezel are all individual #44 or #47 bulbs. (i think so anyways, it's been a while since i've owned one...)

I'm sure the joysticks, handles, and buttons had far more germs than a periscope. Just think of all the people that went to the bathroom and didn't wash their hands, then played your favorite game.

Great game though. I was a beta tester when the homebrew was being written for the 2600. I was playing this game non-stop at that point.

love mine, although i wish the periscope was located about 6" higher, after i play a couple games i always have a deep line across my forehead.... thinking about making a pedestal for the entire game to sit on top of to raise it up

Purell was my friend.

My new high score: 8400. I can't seem to break 9 G's. In fact, I haven't scored over 6000 in the last week.
