Big thanks to fellow KLOVer Sea Wolf for selling me... well, Sea Wolf. The game is working intermittently, but I hope to have it 100% soon. I'm pretty sure it's a finicky edge connector on the PCB. This game isn't going in my main game room. He gets to hang out next to my pirate bar:

Drops anchor he says. Awesome. Perfect spot for it too.

What a great spot for a great game! If you find yourself needing a test rom for it (since sea wolf has no self test), I wrote one based on the space invaders test rom. Details here.

BTW, I had a party for my local collector group and since I use tokens I checked to see how all the games did afterward. I was very happy to see that Sea Wolf made a strong showing. :)

That's looks great! Is that blacklighting on the Pirate flag? If it is, looks cool. :cool2:

Question: I can directly swap in a Space Invaders power supply to see if that's my problem, right? My Dad has a SI machine, and he lives about 15 minutes from me.

Thanks, fellas. I want to play it so bad. I'm swinging by my dad's in a couple hours to grab his SI PS. Hopefully that's the culprit.

Success! I swapped in the SI power supply, and Sea Wolf fired right up. Looks like I'll need to rebuild or replace the old one.

I did, however, uncover a couple more issues. The explosion sounds- they're missing. I get a small pop, but that's it. All other sounds appear to be working fine.

The bigger issue is that the picture occasionally goes out (but I still have neck glow) and the game plays blind. Any ideas?

Oh, and one more question. Does the game normally use white fluorescent lighting or a black light? There's a white light in there, but I think a black light might look cooler.

should be a black light for the explosion lights. very nice sea wolf you got there.

Yeah I put in a regular Blue Black Light in mine and the back drop and bezel illuminated a lot better. You can see the orange and blue explosions? (below the screen) better than you could with the white black light:

And this is how your screen should look when it's on:
