I have my hypersports cab under restoration but I am testing some monitors in it.

The cab currently houses a k4900, so I test another k4900 and it works nicely.
go to test a g07 cbo and I can't stop the screen from scrolling vertically. nice pic, you can see that because I get it to slow almost to a stop but never stop..

I am figuring (though I don't know) that the sync wires are a little different, and I need to compensate for that somehow.

no?

ok, after testing a 2nd g07 it's doing the same thing.

Both were tested working in other cabs that use g07's

I moved the sync wires around to no benefit.

The 2nd g07 I tested is a completely rebuilt chassis from chris25810.

oh well, I will learn more about sync later. have to sell the k4900's I guess.

Is it negative sync? The 4900 sometimes just syncs with only negative horizontal, but the g07 would need it to be jumpered to the vertical also...

do you have a link or could you outline (again) the different sync positions.

I will memorize it and live it this time. :)

Ha! I am having the same issue with a g07 and a track and field, timely post, boy, sometimes the obvious escapes me.

As I am looking at the pinout from the t n f it appears only a single sync comming out of the board
So to fix this g07 scrolling or sync issue, the single sync from the t n f board goes to h sync on the g07 correct?

Hey Mod I read it wrong I think, please correct me.
So the single composite sync coming off the T n F needs to be split and attached to both the H and V on the Go7 is that right?

What kind of sync does the track and field have?

TnF should have neg sync, I believe. And yes, it should be split between -H and -V...

Thanks Tron Guy I hacked my harness trying to figure it out now need a another.

Cant wait to play it. Played a few games blind and made it to archery.

GO7's are not made for composite sync. They require a signal on the horizontal and vertical inputs.

What you have with composite sync is both the horizontal and vertical signals are on the same wire. Which is then connected to the horizontal input. Then the chassis does the separating of the signals thru a sync separating circuit.

You can't split the signal. However you can put the composite signal on both inputs and trick the GO7 into working. It will use the horizontal signal for the horizontal input and ignore the vertical signal. Likewise it will use the vertical signal for the vertical input and ignore the horizontal signal.
