You know, the screws that hold the metal shield piece to the bottom of the CP. I took mine apart to have the metal powder coated and lost the damned screws. I checked the manual but didn't see a reference to them. Anyone know or have one to check size, head and thread type? Washer included? This is why I hate taking shit apart.

i have one in the basement i will check tomorrow and take pics of for you if no one else has the info before then...if i can get down there tonight i will post it here sooner.

just checked real quick and if you are talking about the lower metal part of the control panel? then mine is just held on the back with small hex head silver wood screws and the top is the control panel security hex headed black bolts.

If you are not talking about the metal part directly under the control panel, let me know and i will look again.

Yep, the 3 sided metal panel. The screws were threaded from the top of the plywood into rectangular nuts that were welded on to the panel. Just wood screws were used?

I am talking about the screw that you see just the silver threaded shaft of in the center of this pic:

That's no wood screw, seems like a stove bolt or a machine screw, fine threads. I just need to know the size. 1/4" is too big, and 8-32s are too small.

If it is fine thread it is probably a 10-24. I will look at mine and let you know.

yeah thats the one that is the security hex head bolt that goes through the CPO...the wood screws i was talking about are on the back side.

I don't know the thread size on the CPO bolts, if you need me to take once out and post a pic i can do that if it would help.

I think I have 10/32s here as well, but I tried one and it cross threaded. I wonder if they powder coated the inside threads and then just tried to file them out? It is a hex head though? The head is under the CPO.

it is? that's odd...i thought it was just the CPO bolts going straight through...i didn't take the CPO off. So the CPO screws in to that plywood under the panel, but there are other screws under the CPO that hold that shroud thingy on? This game must be designed by Germans lol...they like to go crazy with the screws.

OK, I was trying to use 10/24's not 10/32's I think. Went and grabbed 5 1" 10/32s with hex head and 5 with inset security hex heads. Will try them tonight. Can't remember how deep the countersink hole was, and each style has a different head depth. Thanks to everyone who checked for me. Unless you can tell me otherwise, I'm going ahead with the 10/32s.

at least we have a measuring system that makes sense and everyone can understand ;)

i agree 100%...i was trying to measure my glass for the Robo Cop game and had to look up on google to make sure i had the correct lengths...would hate to order something in 1/8th and find out it was 1/16ths when i receive it.

10/32" was correct. 1 inch long was superb. I used the inset hex screws with a double washer underneath. There was still room in the countersunk hole for at least 2 more washers. I am so happy right now.

Nothing a tap can't fix if they screwed up the threads.
