Screw Sandy -- Hurricane Sandy Charity Tournament TIME CHANGE (SFBA)

Hurricane Sandy has devastated portions of the East Coast and has left families in incredibly difficult situations on the eve of the fall and winter holiday season. The East Bay Pinball League is organizing a special charity tournament to help and gather donations to go towards relief efforts. Even though the Bay Area pinball community might as well be an entire planet away from the devastation, let's get together and try to do something to support our fellow human beings!

When?: November 17th 2012
Where?: Phoenix Games in Concord CA (they're in the pinside pinmap! :p)
What Time?: Event officially starts at 10AM. First balls plunged at 10:15
How much?: $20 per person
Format?: Singles Double Elimination Head-to-Head
WPPR Points?: YES!

Registration Cap?: 32 players

Prizes?: $15 of your $20 registration fee will go into the donation pool. The remaining $5 will go into the tournament's main pot. If we get less than 16 players, winner takes the entire pot. More than 16 and the pot is split amongst the top 3 players (70/20/10).

We are also receiving prize donations from some people in the Bay Area/Pinball community. We'll update with the who, what and how these prizes will be dispersed.

How Do I Register?: You have two ways of registering. The preferred way and the procrastinator way.

PREFERRED WAY: Send an email to screwsandy AT drunkentemple DOT com. Provide the following info --

First and Last Name:
League/Group Affiliation OR City (for sake of seeding):
Contact Info (email or phone...in case we need to get a hold of you mid-tournament):

PROCRASTINATOR WAY: Show up on the day of the event between 9AM and 9:30AM, locate me (Stephen K) and provide the info above.

How Do I Pay?: Pay in cash the day of the event. There will be no online payment option for this event.

Is There An Official Site?: screwsandy.drunkentemple.com

Because of the last second nature of organizing this event, it is utilizing East Bay City Rumble's html/images as a placeholder. Excuse the mess until we have things looking more "official". ;)

Special Thanks to Johnny O, TJ Beyer and Jim Vierra for stepping up and helping out. Chris Lopez of Phoenix Games for providing space for the event in his store (before hitting Gamestop to buy your x-mas gifts this season, try browsing his stuff first! ;P). Dan Miller of Chabot Science Center for providing prizes.

Bump for time change from noon to 10AM. Need to start a couple hours earlier to ensure getting done at a reasonable time.
