After a cap kit this monitor now displays verticle snow that looks like a refresh rate issue for like 10 seconds that seems to clear up after warm up. I've reflowed much of the main board, daughter boards and neckboard already.

diode? clock?

The monitor looks fine now but this startup snow and occasional screen jumps till the thing is warmed up bothers me.

Thanks for any help in advance.

check for solid ground from neckboard to main chassis to crt grounding strap..
double check daughter cards for tight connection..
try replacing signal interface card if you have a spare.
test with other signal source.

Thanks chad.
Will do tonight

Hmmm none of this helped. I may to reflow that signal interface card's solder connections

You can hit the Horz/Vert Transistors, clock, and associated regulators with freeze spray during operation to see if it's actually temperature dependant.

after reflowing the neck board and the plug in card the snow goes away in seconds. it's so short it's hard to even diagnose now... I sold the machine so it doesn't seem to be a problem
