I can pick up a used 19" monitor (WG7200) that's in very good shape except for a scratch in the tube that's about an inch long. It's going under smoked plexi, so I don't care how it looks with the cab off, but will the games look screwy in the scratch area even with the smoked plexi?

Find a 19" TV and tube swap it...

There are kits for car windshields to fix scratches, and I believe eye glasses too. Contact a windshield place and see if they can fix scratches on cars then see if they will do the monitor.

Smoke plexi can hide alot, give it a try. I wouldnt bother swapping the tube unless that one was burned bad or the scratch was untolerable.

How bad is the scratch? It might not be that noticeable behind the plexi. I have a tube with several scratches on it and they are hardly visible when it's on.

I had a 13" WG I picked up at a recycling center; they had used it as a hocky puck on a concrete floor.

I cleaned her up, polish, followed by a squeegee of that window stuff and she looked OK [If you don't mind dating Frankenstien's sister]

I kept my eyes out and finally found a like new 13" tube from a TV that had less than 100 hours total run time.

She is the best monitor in the house today BRIGHT crisp colors, beutifull.
