I'm looking for any info I can get for the Stern Scramble Cocktail, from what I can tell this is a pretty rare game and there doesn't appear to be a lot of information out there on it. I'm looking to get it running first, if possible, then decide what to restore. The graphics on the top are screen printed onto the glass, but are a tad bit rough, but overall the cabinet is in great shape!

I am interested in production numbers and in finding schematics to the Scramble cocktail so I can troubleshoot the board if it needs it (have to work on the power supply first).

Overall I'm stoked to find this, it was sitting in a storage room and I don't think it's been running in about 20 years or more (the tokens in the bin are from a roller rink and are stamped 1985) and I don't have much into it. Everything is original as from the factory so it hasn't been chopped up or converted. I've been trying to find the serial # but can't find that anywhere either. The board is the original scramble board from the looks of it, and all the factory hand tags are there with scramble written on them.

The screen comes on but there doesn't appear to be any power going to the board, so this will need some troubleshooting.

Here's some pics:

Can't help you with any information about the cabinet but I would like to say that thing is really cool. Awesome score, looks like it is in fine shape. Scramble is one of my favorite games of all time. I might just own one some day. :D

Very cool. I've never seen a cocktail before. The art is great.

The great thing about these cabs is that you can play alot of different games in it. Its like the Jamma of its time.

+1 The Konami pinout brings a lot of options (Time Pilot, Gyruss, TP '84, etc.). I'm in the process of building a multi-Konami right now.

Look for a number written in marker on one side up high near one of the control panels.

I had one of these in recently that had been converted several times...

My very first cocktail was a Bomb Jack that had started its life as a Scramble cocktail. It would've needed everything if I'd tried to restore it.

This is cool! The book I have with all the pictures of arcade games (others will know the one I'm talking about) lists like 2,000 cocktails made, I think...

Very cool find! I know nothing about the game, or ever played one, but it looks like it will be neat.

Congrats! Keep it, don't sell!

I like the art on that one. I'm not too great at it, but do enjoy a game of Scramble.

When's the party ;)?

As soon as I get my star wars from Aaron I'm inviting all the Florida guys over for sure (month or two). I was thinking we could have a small friendky MK tournry with any of the mk's also :) i may just bring my mk1 in from the garage for the party since it's so friggin hot.

Hopefully I'll have my kiss pinball fixed by then also... I'm working on the scramble this weekend, we'll see how it goes!
