Tell me what you think...

Only for the left side score board. Would you think the CPU board would be the cause or just the display board?

Was thinking of ordering the after market LED replacements (D-12706), but their $150 and come only in pairs (Left and Right). Rather determine the cause before taking that step, because I'd rather of not ordered $150 in parts to have it only do the same thing.

I would suspect failed logic on the display board.

Chris

Likewise, but I really don't know enough about logic probes to determine which chip may be the issue.......gotta go look at this thing tomorrow and turn up and answer for my client.

I got some TTL books in PDFs maybe could thumb through those see if I can find anything. Or I'll look up the data sheets online.

Well it seems it could be worse than just the scoring being scrambled on one side. It appears the system 11c board has some corrosion and a low +5v Dc current. I checked the power supply and it sits at 5.13v under load, but the 5v on the system board is reading 3.45v. And I really think the corrosion has something to do with it. The game will play though, that is the odd part....maybe that LED is bunk.

So I took the board home with me to clean and possibly attempt to repair it, though I have no doubt I might have to send this to someone else. Most of the components that are corroded from some previous incident handle the +5v and +12v coming from the power supply.

Where do ya'll think I should start? I can't even say that this will fix the score board issue too........

Just curious. I have a pool shark doing the same thing. Did you ever find a solution?

Thanks,
Wes
