The elusive White Asteroids! I had one very early on in my collecting but at the time had no idea how rare it really was or i'd still have it. cool find.

What is the serial number on the asteroids with the white sides? It might be an early production version. Anybody else have some like this?

serial number

it has 6009 stamped on back into the wood is that or where else would i look?

freebies you say? You win! I'd like to know how many of the white Asteroids they made.

That SI looks to be in damn good shape. Those seem to be hard to come by these days. Man, nice score!!

free games

yes the couple were hippies super nice just never left the 70s. i was standing there trying to think how much to offer she says i want you to have these. huh free? yes we want you to have them sweet!they have had them since the mid eighties they have been sitting for over 20 years!

i kept looking at the sides trying to figure out why they were white and how fast i could get them to my truck.

wow, great scores there paul. you cant beat "free".

that asteroids side-art is pretty cool. if i were you id check the pcb board serial # and power supply number too. would be interesting to see if all the numbers match up. it could very well be a low serial/production #.

the pins

capt something and space something not real sure they were in pieces old 70s type pins of no interest to me, i dropped them off to a friend that collects em pins. he hooks me up when he finds games i hook him up whenever i come across old pins. should have seen the look on his face when i said FREE!

it worked out great as i barley had space to squeez 3 more games in. need to sell some games soon!

i would trade or sale the asteriods,ad dlx or si for really nice centipede, robotron or pinball 80s or newer or something else that might be a keeper can add cash as needed also have alot of other games.

If they were Captain Fantastic and Space Mission, your friend owes you a beer :)

Nice pickups! That is an Asteroids like I have never seen before (and I grew up in that era!).

Chris

Wow, I'd say you are the "lucky KLOVer of the week!"

Those are definitely some solid classics you picked up there. That Asteroids (with the funk side art) is actually pretty rare. I'd call that one a keeper if I were you.

pins

wasnt capt fantastic i know that one! these games have been sitting for 20 plus years. playfield glass had so much dirt you could not see the playfield same with backglass. it looked like my truck was smoking as i drove down the road. was a site to see with 3 arcades and 2 pins jammed into a tacoma! 2 heads inside the extra cab 3 games standing up and the 2 pins on the tailgate. best part asteriods monitor has no burn have a tech friend comming by today to see if he can get it going!

Wouldn't it likely have an owl coin door setup as well, though?

I've seen one other of these Asteroids with white side art. Very cool.

That could be the Asteroids that was on Silver Spoons....
