Scored a "non-working" Arcade Legends for $100
I was lying in bed sick today and saw an ad for "Chicago Coin Game" come up on CL. When I clicked on the ad, I saw it was for one of those newer Arcade Legends multicades. I knew they were run by a PC, so I took a chance and got my ass outta bed to go get it like 30 minutes away. When I got it home i thought for sure it was the power supply because only the monitor would power on and the fan on the PC didn't spin. I swapped it with a known good power supply - that wasn't it. So I went reading online and guess what it was? The on-board battery. I went to Kroger right down from my house and picked up a $3 coin-style battery, popped it in, configured BIOS settings, and voila!
It looks like she needs a cap kit, but hey - she's working! Not bad for $100! Anyone else have one of these? It's nice, but feels taller than a standard cocktail. Can I load more games on it?
