Scored a DS Lite for $25. What are some good games?

So today I was hanging out at a friends house, just kicking back a couple brewskis and shooting the bull. I picked up his silver DS Lite that was lying on the ground and was just nonchalantly flipping it open and close, messing around with it. He saw me messing with it and said "Yea, I dont even play that thing anymore since I lost the charger. Name your price and you can have it." I said a joke that I say often when offered to buy something relatively expensive (like a car or TV or something) and said in an east coast accent "Ive got $25 cash in my pocket right now. Whaddya say?"

I didnt expect him to agree to the deal!

Never having owned a DS before, I was grinning from ear to ear, and he gave me a game to go with it. The New Super Mario Bros. I ran to Gamestop on my way home and bought a charger and a couple styli, and I have been horribly addicted to this SMB game ever since.

So for all you others that have a DS, what are some games you recommend?

It depends on what style of games you want to play...

If you like Puzzle games the Prof. Layton titles are all good.

Holy crap that's a great damn deal especially coming with NSMB! Awesome score!

I just watched a bit of PvZ on DS, and the graphics look pretty good to me. Not as good as on PC, but the resolution is lower, so there's not much you can do.

I've tried it on the DS, and it's playable, but the graphics are the poorest of any version. Yes, the resolution is understandably much lower than the PC and iOS versions, so the detail is lacking, but that's not the only problem. The animation is lacking and nowhere near as smooth as other versions, and worst of all is that the game bogs down when the screen gets full of action.

It's still a decent game, and they've crammed all the features in there, but not worth the investment if you have PC or iOS, especially considering thr DS version happens to be the most expensive version of the game.

Big Bang Mini. Addictive, and playable in small chunks. At the higher end the bosses get to be a bit much (I'm stuck on the last boss in the main mode), but somehow it still stays fun - I've been playing it on and off for the last 18 months.
