Hello all. I recently did a package deal on a bunch of electronics parts and a arcade game and the fellow threw in a ton of old Radio Shack Science Fair Electronics kits. I have a few of the kits pictured bellow but have lots of other ones. Some have pieces missing, a bunch are complete. I plan to keep a few for my son to learn electronics with, but would love to give some away to members here who either would like to tinker with a kit themselves, or give them to their kids or grand-kids to experiment with.
The Kits are Free, you just pay shipping.
I ask please don't ask for a kit and then try and sell it on eBay as i could do that myself, but wanted to help encourage kids into learning electronics.
Thank you
Ken

I'll take em!!! My 10 year old would LOVE these!!! Besides, we are sick of him taking things apart to "fix" them, when it wasn't broken to begin with.
I admit... I used to do the same thing when I was a kid!

Hi there got your PM also! I used to do the same when i was a kid and then my Grandpa got me a few kits and i was in heaven. I figured sure i could sell them on Ebay, but I would rather give them to kids who want to learn!! :)
I will send you a reply in a few mins.
I have other kits also, so if anyone's looking for anything. I will try and send the most complete kits i have. :)

I'd love to have one as well if you have one that's complete.

I'm sure one of my kids would be interested enough to sit down with me and experiment.

Besides, I was traumatized as a kid when I got a relatively complicated one (from Radio Shack) and did it with my dad and the stupid thing never worked. I never did figure out why and we eventually just threw it away.

I still have the mental scars.

demogo - Have a look at the pictures and send me a PM with what you want and your mailing address and i will go through the kits and put together as complete a kit as i can. :)

I never had a very fancy one when i was a kid, more so the 10n1 kits. I can see why you would have been upset with it not working, as a kid we want it here and NOW LOL

Glad to see people wanting them for their kids! :)

Those little transistor radio kits are great for getting kids interested in electronics. I remember being amazed by the weird stuff I could pick up with that simple thing.... Good fun!

My son loves playing with all my tools and trying to fix things so if you still have extras I would like one. Just let me know where to send the money. Oh and even if your out that's mighty nice of you to hook up the kids like that. I hope the good karma finds you soon.

Thanks! Unfortunetly some of the kits are missing manuals and parts. so im trying to put together as complete a kits as i can. The main kits there, but not much good without manuals.

I still have some kits available. I am now making one kit out of a few as parts and manuals are missing in some. I have a ton of the 60n1 kits, but they are missing the manuals and wires inside. But still a good unit.

Glad to see the response I have! Makes me happy that there are kids going to be playing with these and learning! Way more valuable to me then $$ ;)

Thank you! :)
I am glad so many kids will be getting these kits! Its something i remember doing with my grandfather as a child and knowing others will enjoy the same memories rocks!

I just wrote a email to the person i got the games off asking if he happens to have any manuals for them laying around somewhere. If I get them, i will be able to send off those kits.

I still have some kits with manuals and parts available, i will go through it all tomorrow and post a current update. If you dont care if there is a manual or happen to know of a online source to print off manuals please let me know.

Thanks to everyone.

Our local Science fair was the 1st time i ever saw a video game, it was Space Wars i was 8 years old in 1977 or 1978. I also remember at the same Science fair they did an egg drop contest from the Gym the event was being held in. I just stared at that Space Wars i'll never forget how cool looking that machine was. My Dad had to pick me up so i could see the screen.
