School me please...Burning ROMs how tos and which ones

So I've spent about $60 this week on buying ROMs and still need a couple more..I've decided to buy an Eprom burner.

After reading a bunch of post here I've decided on the GQ-4x from Mcumall here

http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/comersus_dynamicIndex.asp

I've read that a power pack is needed for certain ROMs..is that included? I don't see an option to purchase one

So my questions are..
1. Should I spend the extra $25 on the Full pack? (my gameroom is about equally split between pre-83ish vids and WPC pins)

2. Where (and which ones) can I stock up on commonly used ROMs for arcades and pinballs?

3. I know there are size difference (insert joke here...)but are there also 'type' differences? For example I need a 2MB Eprom to update my Funhouse to the last rev. Can I just buy any old 2 MB ROM?

4. I plan on buying an eraser also so my next question..when you get a ROM failure is it usually the image on the ROM or the actual ROM failing? Does the burner have the ability to test the integrity of the ROM (not the image)?

I'm sure I'll have a bunch more questions..but this should do it for now

Thanks!

You can buy the power supply at radio shack .It just has to be at least 9vdc. I used one i had laying around from an old house phone. I did not get the extra adapters.I was told i most likely would not need them but for 25 bucks i think i should have.I just got mine recenty and have used it succesfully. The 1 bad rom i did have go bad i had a very hard time erasing and programing and finally would not check out ok. Oh and the eraser i purchased was the cheap one on ebay.Works good.I cant answer the rest of the questions some one with more knowledge will have to chime in.
