I am trying to put together a small trackball for a Bowl-A-Rama game. I'd like to use a 2 1/4" Centipede TB. Will this work with a Capcom Bowling/ Bowl A Rama board without any mods? Or do I need to retrofit it with Bob's red optic boards? I just priced it out, it would be $43 for new rollers, bearings and optic boards. Similar question. On a 60 -in-1, will putting the red optic boards on an existing Atari trackball make it work? As long as you swap the wires as Bob mentions? I am trying to build these games as cost effectively as I can, while using up the supplies I have on hand (2-3 Atari Trackballs & harnesses). Thanks for any help.

Anyone? I am trying to make a Bob Roberts order, but I wanna make sure I get what I need and not more than I need. I guess it's between paying $43 to rebuild and retrofit an old TB or paying $65 for a new one the same size. Thanks.

Putting red boards in an Atari trackball WILL let it work with a 60-in-1, although I seem to recall there was a thread here a while back about how you could make the original Atari trackball boards work by just adding a resistor or something to them.

As for it working with your Bowl-A-Rama, I couldn't say. If you have one handy, hook it up and see...

Yeah I had an order I needed to make today from work, and do not have the Bowl A Rama wired up yet. I just thought someone may know before I ordered the parts for nothing. I just left them out of this order until I know for sure.
