The more pics with descriptions, the better.

I feel like talking Dynamo/Capcom shit, there are more ack's than RGP. Someone dumb all of this down please.

most of what you need to know is here
http://www.drzero.org/videogames/dynamo/

your 19" came in HS1 and HS2.
Some HS1's had a pull out board/shelf like the HS5 and Zbackcab models.

HS5s and Zbacks are 25" monitors.
Some Zbacks are actually built by 3KOAM so the design is a little copied.

There's different variations that are related to power supplies and this effects where they may have put the power switch.

I have seen some HS1's even w/ no power switch. Some with a interlock switch etc...

19" and 25" cabs were both designed to have the monitors rotate. Oddly I've seen some vert mount monitors that can't have the monitor rotate because a corner of the frame bangs against the back door. It depends on which monitor is in them.

Control panels vary also. The modular/square vs the corner cuts that everyone can recall.
I think that they designed the corner cuts because of the SF2 layouts needed more space.

Some had generic layouts pre-punched. Some even were punched for track ball layouts.

You almost always had to put a piece of plexi over the CPO cause of all of the holes drilled or pre-punched in these.

A lot of info. Most of it still not 100% known. I'm on my phone so linking isn't convenient, but search for these terms:dynamo, 3koam, big blue, z-back

I guess the super basics are: dynamo hs-* were used for a bunch of cps1 era projects. A big blue was introduced with sf2ce, then relaunched as the cabinet for the cps2 system with ssf2. 3koam was utilized for sf2hf with the zback. Possibly also utilized for sf2ce... big blue has a bunch of different styles.

Drzero, prairied, myself have bantered on the topic like crazy. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong Capcom masters, but since most, if not all Capcom games from the late 80s to mid-90s were all kits, they went with Dynamo (and later KOAM) to house all of their games.

Throughout those years, they released a variety of models. HS-1, HS-2, HS-4 (Big Boy), HS-5, HS-27, Showcase, etc. Each model having different features and sizes. The control panels were either set or modular to suit whatever game you chose to house in it. Many of the HS-1, HS-2 and HS-5 cabs you see now most likely have the "cut-corner" type control panels. There were other types though (see arcadeflyers link below).

For example, SFII:WW was released in a Dynamo HS-1 which is a 19" cabinet with no slide-out CP (for PCB and PS). That feature didn't get added on until the HS-2. Instead, in the HS-1, the board is mounted to the side of the cabinet. You can also mount the monitor either vertically or horizontally.

Some games had factory serial stickers stapled on the back above the back door. I believe SFII:CE shipped in a big blue cab. I forget which make and model (KOAM?). Prairied1ll0 owns an HS-5 (25") that has a SFIII:NG serial sticker.

Here's a good place to start: http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=archive&db=videodb&name=&year=&manu=191

Here's some pictures of my SFII:WW (currently have SFII:HF in it) in an HS-1:

Eseyo was an original WW cab. The monitor burn and way that everything was mounted in the cab shows that it's all original WW stuff.
The funky thing about these cabs is that it doesn't really matter what you think is original etc. I suggest that you evaluate what you think you are used to in terms of screen size and version. From there you can piece together everything else to make you happy. Some people like the Big Blue cabs but I had one and didn't like it. It stuck out in my row and was just way too big. The HS5 was just as good looking and playing with it's 25" monitor. It also was easier to manage in size.

At different points in time Capcom had sued all of their cab manufacturers because they were pissed at something or another thinking that Dynamo etc shared info designs with other game companies. That's just Capcom...

This why they switched suppliers often but still kept on issuing kits for updating cabs still in service needing the latest and greatest out there. They issued cabs in multiple forms Dynamo and 3KOAM, just because of supply issues.

Koam was the builder for most of the dedicated red body Neo Geo Cabs.

All of the control panels just bolt up to the front of it and latch down. They also can attach to that slide out shelf.

I have collected a bunch of control panels cause you never know when your project will need a new CP. Maybe I'll take a picture tonight if I have the energy. I have so much to work on...

GnG in an HS1. Square CP and I don't think it's the modular one but just shaped that way.

This is about the brunt of the cabinet styles the two cooperated on.

Showcase, Big Blue, Q-Sound Big Blue, SSFII Q-sound, Big Boy, HS with 25", HS cut-corner 19", HS modular 19", Z-back 25" cut-corner

EDIT: I always call it 'Q-sound', but technically I think it's 'Virtual Audio'. Whatevas

Drool.

I know a lot of people don't dig showcase set-ups due to their size, but I wish I had one. On the other hand, I think the Megalo 410's and 50's are sexy too. Apparently I don't believe in space for other things.

hehehe. Couldn't resist. Ask a model builder a question about cabinets, get an answer- in true model form.

What games came dedicated in the blue cab with the raised marquee?

Since it was requested, here's a Z-back cab. They look cool, kind of a pain without a back door, but I still love the look:

I mean this model...

Oh I see. I should have clued in to the raised marquee part. Anyway, I have a 4 player Slam Masters in the big blue q-sound cab with giant marquee. It's labeled on the back as being a 4 player Slam Masters as well. I thought the dedicated version was a dual screen set up very similar to the Nintendo VS dual uprights. Maybe they did make this dedicated version also?

SF2:CE has been found to have a run in the blue cabs (may have its own style if I could find a good pic to compare). Super SF2 had a unique blue set up as well from what I can tell (have that one). From there, almost everything CPS-2 had the potential to come dedicated in the big blues. X-Men:COTA and MSH I'm not sure. I swear I saw COTA unwrapped new that was not in a big blue, but in one of the "two piece" cabs.

I've seen that squatter version with the smaller marquee with a Super control panel as well. So...*headscratch*...fucking Capcom.

I've got a dedicated "Captain Commando" in a big blue.

The first game back in the day I ever saw in the big blue was Super Street Fighter II. The Saturday Night Slam Masters at my local arcade was dedicated in the two monitor cabinet, crazy. HUGE marquee.
