Anyone have a schematic of the happ optical gun tester or a similar fixture? I have a bunch of guns to test with different harnesses and I want to build a generic test rig to bench test them.

Thanks

Thanks for posting, I can definitely use one of these. I had a Happ one
years ago at work and someone lost or stole it and I never had the
chance to open it up and document the insides.

One thing though ... Grownd ?

I have the PCB mostly designed, but I'm still really new at PCB design, and there are several things I'm confused about from the Schematic.
- There seems to be no C1, or C4?
- R12 does not have a value assigned?
- What is the purpose of R12? It seems to connect 5V to Ground?
- What is the purpose of S1?

My Version 1 boards came in. I'm not convinced I should even populate R12.
I have most of the components, except for the timer chip, itself.

This may be helpful if you have a scope... I just connect 5 volts to the gun PCB and put the output on an oscilloscope. I shine a bright LED flashlight at the sensor, and the output will display a square wave varying in size based on how close the light is to the sensor. No square wave, no output from the board.
