I decided to start working on Bally and Williams MPU layouts for grins and I discovered another error on the Bally Schematic. Well... it might be a stretch to call it an error because it holds true on the actual hardware, but there are two caps labeled C30. The weird thing is that there are also two caps labeled C30 on the board. Stern REALLY copied Bally's stuff because it's on their boards too. Weird.

What other schematic errors have you found?

Not really a schematic error but there is a misprint in the sttng manual labeling one mode light and the command decision light the same number in the bulb chart. ;)

I've seen quite a few schematics with a chip labeled "U??". As in, they don't know what it's labeled, and they don't care.

Also, was the technical writer at Bally/Williams in the 90's color blind? Colors of wire on many pinouts are just dead wrong.

I thought the early Sterns used Bally boards. Meaning they licensed and purchased the electronics from Bally with little if any modification. The mechs probably were carryover from Bally if this is true.

In one of the little operator handbooks for Black Knight, there is a misprint about which transistor drives one of the drop target coils.

A number of electrolytic caps in Williams system 7 power supplies are labeled backwards.
I know I've found more, just can't remember off the top of my head.

Kilroy is not actually part of the lamp strobe circuit on Black Sheep Squadron.

Manual Errors? Hmm...let's see. Oh yeah, every rubber list in every manual for every pinball machine ever released.

Yesterday I found an error in the fuse label in "Gillian's Island" backbox. It should read Fuse F103 is for solenoids 23 and 24 which are the ramp up and ramp down coils.

How about everything included in the BK2K schematic?

I've got a basketcase reimport that I've been trying to fix for years.. Everytime I look into the manual/schematic I just get angry.. As so much is just wrong
