Scanning (Vs. Super Mario Marqee)

FYI, I've been unable to find a place that can do color scans larger than 11x17. I was hoping not to need to do several scans and then cutting and pasting in photoshop.

Unless there's some huge outpouring I'll probably just scan the marquee and then have Rich do a one-off of the Marqee (on plexi) and Phet's bezel for me. If it was DK I'd be trying to do exact repros but Nintendo truely dropped the ball on these Vs. series when it came to art. Marquee stickers? Really? No artwork on the bezel? Really Nintendo? Really?

I agree, but the only reason was so that the games could easily be swapped with a few roms and a marquee. It does seem easier for a moronic dick-fingered op to be able to change a simple bezel than it does for them to have to carefully pull and reinstall 8 or so roms, but whatever. That's where I came in. I have 2 bezels done, and one still in the works. BTB, I scanned my Castlevania marquee in on a standard scanner bed, and the stitching process is actually tougher than it looks. One pass would definitely be the way to go. Sucks starting with this:

Yeah, I've actually done some stitching in photoshop in the past. I'm meticulous by nature and it's a huge pain. Light polution will mess you up. Even a slightly different angle will mess you up. You have to get it just right or you'll end up with a ton of work to do in photoshop on the micro-level. It's because of my past experience with stitching images together that I was hoping to find a place that does large scale scanning in color. I would 1200 dpi that bitch if I could find a place.

A few have indicated interest in a Super Mario marquee done right. Although it wouldn't be 'original' style, is there enough interest around here to get Rich to do a small run on plexi, similar to a DK marquee? Is there any other way to print directly on plexi and have it look right other than reinventing the art to screen, which I'd guess is out of the question?

Rich has the files for those bezels and will sell you one if you contact him. They're just not on the site.
