SBA (Susan B Anthony) Mechs - anyone ever use/need?

I have a small box of Susan B Anthony mechs from pinball machines. I believe these will also take dollars/golden dollars as well. Does anyone ever use these anymore, or should I just scrap them? Really need to clean up my garage and this is one thing I keep tripping on.

Put up on for-sale, I'm sure someone will buy them.

I have quite a few of them myself, didn't know they would take the golden dollar..... Interesting, I will have to give that a try when I get home.

I would have thought that a regular quarter mech would accept a Susan B. Anthony dollar.

Don't know if it would take the SBA or not, but our juke says on the front that it accepts HALF dollars. I couldn't believe it.

They're a different size, a little bigger and I think a little thicker. (Oh man maybe I should reword that) I think it was Ken that told me they take the golden dollars (same dimensions so golden dollars, silver dollars, and Susan B Anthonys can all be taken by the same equipment).

I'll get a count as to how many I have an put em up for sale I guess. Thanks!

PS - I thought those were odd until I found that the Megatouch I picked up on Saturday has an electronic mech for EUROS!

The SBA's are a slightly larger diameter than the quarter (26.5mm vs 24.26mm) and slightly thicker (2mm vs 1.5mm). The presidential/sac dollar are the same dimensions as the SBA with a different metal composition but the same (i think) electrical signature as the SBA. Primarily the SBAs failed because people were confusing them with quarters in their change, partially they failed because people weren't really seeing a need for a dollar coin anymore. The SBAs are one of the focuses of another hobby of mine (numismatics) and I'd seen the coin mechs, would love to get my hands on some of them. Post a link to the for sale thread I guess.
