Hi everyone,

Just signed up for VAPS/IAM/KLOV

Looking forward to growing my collection.

While posting my machines, it asks for a grade on condition. Is there a standard scale? I see crazy things like "A- Monitor doesn't work but otherwise great" and that makes me scratch my head. I'd like to be consistent in my grading. Thanks, and glad to be here!

welcome! theres a way to link the Vaps to the klov forums once you get everything set up!

Edit: after you upload to vaps, go to your profile and find this : May we display your Vaps entry on your forum postings. Click yes

Welcome, fellow addict.

How many machines do you own?

How many do you think you'll own in a year? ;)

Hehe.

Also... Any pics of your arcade?

First off, welcome. Hope you have thick skin... :p

As far as grading goes... that's why I haven't really filled out my profile as far as that goes... There's just too much to take into consideration. It's more of a personal opinion on the machine though... some people will have a great machine with a perfect bezel, marquee, and CPO... but the side art might be a little scuffed. They'd rate that as very high, while someone else might be more interested in the side art, and they'd rate it lower. Same goes for repro art, some love it, some hate it... it's all personal tastes.

For me, if the cabinet is great, but the monitor is shot... I'd still rate that high. Minus vector games, good monitors are pretty easy to come by, so it wouldn't be considered a deal breaker for a lot of people.

Hi , the scale is about the condition of the cab . The monitor , PCB and wiring can usually be fixed easily or replaced . If the side art or control panel overlay is scratched up , they can't always be easily replaced . So the condition of the cab is most important .

It's pretty subjective, no real grading system like baseball cards, stamps, coins etc. Welcome!

Welcome to the Insaniquarium! Don't the residents scare you, we're a pretty mellow bunch, unless you diss out grail, of course :D.

It helps if you fill out the profile on your User Control Panel. One of the most important things is to put location. That way if there any others local to you, both of you will know it. It helps to have somebody nearby to lend a helping hand on warehouse raids, video game moving day and general getting together and drinking beer and playing video games.

Again welcome! You are among fellow inmates now!

I suspect he made his first post, then died...

Tragic. And a new record for member mortality.

The more the merrier, or crazier in this case..........regardless WeLcOmE!
