Was on my way home and saw a scrapper trailer pass by with what looked like a arcade game laying down. So swung around to talk to the fellow wound up following him for a bit finally got beside him and he didn't get it thought he lost something. So I lost him and the game on a side road arg, so was heading back home and he passed me. Turn around again and start stalking him again LOL Finally he turned into the recycling center . I pulled in and he's on the scales I pulled up and said come out to the parking lot and lets talk about that game.
It is a sega quartet not the greatest game but looked complete so we got to talking and in exchange for some junk printers and stuff he delivered the game for me :D

Its all there but the cord has been cut and its not in to bad a shape if nothing else there looks to be a decent monitor in there and 2 coin doors. He said he had tried to sell it for awhile for $40 but no one would buy it so he was going here to scrap it. He also had several tv's that the yard turned down so might be a good source of tubes.

I know pics or it didn't happen I will up load a couple when I get home they are on my phone.

Thanks!

Wow what a save! I'm glad to see others who take pride in saving these poor defenseless games!

I hear ya!

Now that I know where the yard is I'm going back and give them a card and ask them to give me a chance to buy them before crushing.

Don't see that many dedicated quartets in the wild much anymore. Be sure to check into that operator sticker and see if there's any more where that came from? I'm sure you've already done that but just in case..... must liberate more!!!:D

I have Quartet 2 for my cab and I really like the game. There was a port BITD on the Sega Master System that I grew up playing, so getting the arcade version was a must for me. Look on the bright side, you will be able to buy around 10 compatible boards for it, all of Sega's best games from 1986 up until 1990. And that is some great artwork IMHO.
