I've got a working monitor in a game that has lots of screen burn and needs a cap kit. I'm going to pull it out and replace it with a computer monitor. My question is....I assume the old tube is worthless and can be tossed, but what about the chassis? Is it worthwhile to pull it off and save...or are they a dime a dozen?

Uhhhhhh, of course they're worth saving. You new to these parts?

Honestly, the best thing to do with these is generally to mail them to me. As a courtesy, I will even pay you the fair market value of $0.00833 cents for it.

Save the arcade monitor. Even with a tube that has some burn-in, using the monitor with games like Sky Shark hide all the burn-in.
