Thought I'd post one of these finally...

Those of you that know me, know my passion for black and white games. Yesterday my son and I made a drive to pick up some black / white games I found a couple weeks ago. Made the 300 mile round trip, close to Sacramento, and picked up two of the four the seller has.

Picked up a couple pretty clean games, a Tank II, and a Stunt Cycle. Originally was going to pickup a 280-zzzap and Tank II, but my son liked the Stunt Cycle better and it is mostly working. Both has a couple issues that I'll post about on the repair forum but they're at least working. The two remaining games are the 280-zap and a Starship 1. Neither are working but they're complete and great cosmetic shape. If anyone's interested in these - I still may go back for the 280 - drop me a line and we can work something out. The seller wants them gone before the end of the month.

Here's some pictures - comments welcome... That makes 10 b/w rasters in the collection. Now, just to find some room in the game room...

Tom

Cool to see another 280 Zzzap on here! I just got one earlier this year. Neat old game (although very simple). Has the cool black light/mirror setup (like Space Invaders).

BTW - Nice score on the other games!

Nice score. All four of those are fun games it would be hard to choose which to bring home.

Stunt Cycle is one I've been trying to find for a while now. The last one on my "games I'll pick up even though I dont have room" list. I also had a 280Z in high school so it would be neat to have that one too.

Stunt Cycle is a great game. Is that coin door original or do the silver plates on the coin slots look like they were added on? Mine has a plain black door that looks like the one on your Tank game.

You should have taken a trailer and got all of them. It would have saved you a trip because you know you're going to go back and get the other two.

Thx for the comments guys! Yep, it was hard to decide which to bring home, I will be going back for the the 280-zzzap at least. I already have a Starship 1 but I could get this one for the parts... Yeah, should have taken a trailer too... ;^)

Very Jealous! I really enjoy the B&W games. All I have is drivers right now, I really need a Tank or Seawolf. Would love to play Stunt Cycle again - Barry

I used to have a Tank2. It was fun but the fact that it was 2 player only sucked. I hardly ever got to play it. As far as B/W's go, I had a Space Invaders for a while but it had a monitor problem that I never got fixed. Several years ago, I had a DepthCharge. A very simple game but I enjoyed it immensely.

Yeah, I used to play that one all the time at the local Kmart. I'd love to find one locally.

Kmart must've had a special deal with Atari. I remember playing Stunt Cycle at Kmart also, and others claim the same.

Nice find Tom. Are you going to mod the Tank II board?

Hi there - the board is already modified. Those shots that you can control are a crack up!

My son and I were playing it the other night and he was curving the shots around corners and hitting my Tank. We were both laughing.

Nice!

I'm about to list a bunch of NOS Atari PROMs, including many for older B&W games after work... In case you wanted or needed some.

I love that Tank II! Cool Starship 1 as well. Too bad you couldn't pick that one up as well.

Hyde, I already have a Starship 1, so it was not any big loss. I really wanted the 280-zzzap but my son liked the Stunt Cycle. I may go and get both anyway....

Must resist temptation.........
