My SH cabinet needs some touch-up, anybody ever get the red matched up with any luck at Lowes or Home Depot?

Fading ruins your chances of finding someone with a "match". You can go get the paint sample cards and try to match it or you can pull a chunk the size of a quarter out of your machine and have that matched - but even that is no guarantee it'll match. The paint may look good when wet but may turn lighter or darker when it dries. Really a crap shoot when you're trying to patch a color in.

I was thinking about doing mine as well.
Matching for touch up seems tough. Might be easier to mask off the side art and paint the whole cab.

Red

If you are going to repaint the whole thing. Take a sample from under the lip of the coin door. It will not be faded at all. That would be your best chance to match the origional red.

There is a small paint shop near me and he can mix about any color... You might want to consider taking the whole cabinet to him and having him mix it up. He might want the cabinet for a few days. I agree with jeremy... It might be best to mask off the art and repaint the whole cabinet. I just did that with a Frenzy and it worked pretty damn good.

From some pictures I've seen... make sure you mask as close to the art as possible, or it comes out looking a little weird.

That frenzy was really well done. good to know someone has had good success with that method.

Do you think you could get good results if the sideart was not 100%. If their was a small bit of side art gone it would be challenging to make that area look as good as the rest

The Frenzy art was "almost" perfect but not mint. It cleaned up so nice it wasn't really an option to strip. If the art was trashed I'd of probably just stripped it off. I mean, you can put lipstick on a pig but you still have a pig!
