Has anyone tested a Satans Hollow board in a Tron. A friend wants me to test his board, but my Satans hollow is buried in the garage. Dont want to dig it out, and my Tron is in the house.

Yes, it will power it and display fine, but the controls won't work right...

Yes, I have always thought that should work. As far as I know, they are the same boardset with different ROMs. However, Satan's Hollow maps the controls to different pin locations than Tron does. IIRC. I believe that someone came up with an adaptor to correctly map the controls to make a Satan's Hollow PCB work in a Tron cabinet and be playable.

i've done it before, and if i remember correctly, the joystick works L - R as it should, and so does the fire button, but the shield doesn't work at all.
There is a romset floating around that remaps the SH to the Tron pinout- it uses P1 start for the shield. I don't see why you couldn't just jumper p1 start on your tron harness to whatever pin the shield is on SH. You could put a connector in the middle of the jumper wire and connect it when you plug in satan's hollow, and unconnect it when you put the tron pcb back in. (you could do the same with the adapter, or avoid it altogether by using the romset thats out there).

it should boot, but i'm not sure at all about the controls. I suspect the controls won't work.
