Cam anyone with a Ms.Pac-man and a Satan's Hollow tell me what the dimensional differences are between the control panels on both games?

I'm trying to figure out if there are the same.

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me the width and depth of the Satan's Hollow control panel? (There would be no need to remove it from the cabinet in order to get these measurements).

Thanks.

Ok, I just received a Satan's Hollow control panel and it is basically the same, except that it is a tiny bit more than an inch less in depth.

Next Question. Is the plastic joystick handle for Gorf exactly the same dimensions as that of Satan's Hollow? (The original Satan's Hollow and Tron joystick handles are notoriously flimsy).

Thanks.

I have all three, The casing is the same on all of them other than color and transparency. The difference is in the bottom portion (mounting, how they operate and so on).

I've never heard of any of them being "flimsy" though. Plus you'd also lose the glow of the red stick with the blacklight if you put a Gorf shell on. If yours is broken, I'd honestly try to find another red one. I know theres Repro for Tron, might also be true for SH, but a good used one could probably be found pretty easily.

I haven't found a used one in the two years I've been looking.

It of course is not for an actual arcade game or I'd have to stick with the original color. I'm building a dedicated MAME control panel, so any color will do.

I'll have to look into what you mean about differences in "mounting".

Groovy Game Gear actually has them. They are not even "reproductions" but originals. But like I said the originals are flimsy. If you have all three you can tell that the Gorf handle is more durable.

I dont notice a difference. Gorf joysticks use optic boards. Your best bet would be to find a Tron joystick (8 way leaf switch) and a Gorf shell if you want to go with black.

No need to do that when I already have a Satan's hollow joystick base.

I also have all three games and have seen all three joystick shells off of the games. Unless the plastic they used was different quality all three are the same, most likely made from the same injection mold. I could see the transparent sticks giving the illusion that they are not as strong because you can see through them but they feel the same to me. Now I will say that I find players tend to be roughest when playing SH and can tend to be kind of rough on the light cycle stage of tron so that may contribute to the perception they are weaker if you have seen more of these sticks broken. I really don't know too many people that are rough when they play gorf.
