Who called my name??

Wow, does the black paint come right off??
Think they didn't sand it before they painted it, you in luck!!!
Looking great!!

No it isnt coming right off. it has taken multiple coats. Thats about 4 -6 hours of work. Im taking it slow because I have never tried this, and I dont want to lift the art off.

Are you sanding or are you scraping it off?

It looks awesome the way it does in the pics like a hidden treasure that apears or like a secret image that apears like what you see in movies.

No Sanding. I spray on the paint graffiti remover, and wait a hour or 2. Some does peal off easy, the rest I buff off with a soft cloth. It seems like its talking forever, there may be faster ways but im ok with the slow progress.

nice job! the art looks fairly intact under there. i wish mine were that good. my hollow spent time in a barn and the wood is cracking and whatnot, so if those stencils get done i'm gonna have to sand, bondo, paint, and stencil.

That black makes it more dramatic. :)
Cool another, satan hollow saved.

It is so nice to see this baby emerge. She will look great when you are done. I am glad it went to a good home, Keep posting on this please...

Nice

It is looking great. I have a Defender cab that has had the sideart painted over as well. I was thinking about trying something like this. What product specifically are you using? I saw that it was a graffiti remover, but can you please disclose the specifics about the stuff - brand, place you bought it, etc. Thanks!

There is no better feeling than restoring a game that was a goner for sure in most other peoples hands.

It feels great!!! I was thinking I would have to stencil. Now Im going to be able to save the Devil. Im going to have to do some touch up red, maybe all the red to make it look right. but the original Devil will be saved.
I have a Pac man and robotron cabinet that will be next now that I know this works:D

Here is a link to what im using, only dont follow the directions on the can or you will lift off to much paint, I found that out in a non critical area. just spry it on lightly. let it set for a few hours. after the majority is off dont respray use a cloth and some paint thinner to remove the little stuff.
PM me when you get ready I might have some new tips:)

I repainted the coin door a few days ago.:D Cleaned the inside, and added a different 25c tab to replace the cracked one.
