Fresh cap kit, replaced blown flyback.

So I'm now getting b+ and a picture.. woohoo..

But I can't seem to get the picture to sync. I've adjusted the holds so I can partially see what I've got. Swapped monitors so I know it's the monitor.

Little lost on these Sanyos.

Yeah found the little guy hiding. Looks like it need replacing when I touch it (with a plastic adjustor) the screen goes black. So it's probably bad.

yea replace the pot and look for broken traces in the area.

i had the same problem on one of mine.

Peace

If it is the 3k pot in the center of the chassis then it is an obsolete pot.
I found one from a company in Japan that was rated at .01w instead of .02w
but it worked just fine.
It is a bit smaller than the original one so I had to spread the legs a bit to get it to fit.
Here is a link to that pot, they have tons of great stuff for great prices and fast shipping. http://www.taydaelectronics.com/pot...ers/3k-ohm-trimpot-variable-resistor-6mm.html
My monitor would freak out every time I touched the horiz. pot and after I replaced it the pic came up.

Ok, well as I'm sure those familiar with the EZ20 know the 3k pot is not an easy find. So instead I used a 2k as some other have tried. So I now have picture.

However there is a slight wave to the whole picture. Just enough to know it's there.

Thanks for the help on this one. I rarely work on monitors.
