The picture is almost perfect in the majority of the screen but there is an area of the screen that the picture will not expand into, it remains black. The area of the picture near the black area looks scrunched up. Is this foldover or something else. I'll try and post a picture later.

This monitor is definitely bigger than the 14" cocktail monitor but not as large as the monitor as I have in my DK upright but close. I was wondering if I might be able to use the chasis from this monitor in my upright, once I have fixed the problem I have with it.

If it's a dedicated DKJR with original monitor (they had 19") of course you could use it in your upright. If the monitor is a Sanyo 20EZ model you're fine. If it's a Sharp model then you need to change the ISO to a 120v as the Sanyo utilizes a 100v ISO.

Most likely fold over if this just started happening. If so most likely a cap kit is in order. However you can try the adjustment pots on the game PCB (two on top edge) and then the pots on the monitor to see if it makes any difference.

Just bought this cocktail and it was kept stored in a tractor trailor for years. So its first time its been fired up in years. I had to clean mouse poop off the monitor surface. But the chassis looks good.

If you have time to piss away try adjusting it out but those caps dry out over time. She needs a rebuild IMHO.

Just to clarify, BOTH the Sharp and the Sanyo need the 100vac Iso.

Cap it and be done with it.
