I posted a question to the seller of this but i thought i'd throw out the situation to my tech friends. I finally got to hook up a Sanyo monitor today as i've been converting my vs. cab back to donkey kong, and the monitor has dark red color on the right, and about halfway over all the way to the left it fades to a lighter red. Also on the second board as it fades to the left from the color blue it becomes purple. I played with the cutoffs but couldn't get it to go away. You can see it in the picture on the 3rd rung down and it looks worse live than in the pic but you can see what i'm talking about. It's been recapped already. Help?

Make sure the degaussing coil is connected. If it is just turn it on and of several times waiting a few minutes in between. It just needs to be degaussed. Also make sure there are no heavy mag fields nearby. To test this you can turn it off, rotate the game 90 degrees from it's current position and turn it back on and see if there is any difference.

Ok, I know there is a coil that goes to the tube where the high voltage is, is that what your talking about? thanks

No, if you look at the tube itself, there is a coil around the perimeter it's probably wrapped in black or blue tape. It should terminate on the chassis, it's a 2 position plug. If your looking at the rear of the monitor, it terminates/plugs in near the left corner furthest from you.
IIRC the plug is labeled AD. This often gets left disconnected after the chassis has been removed.

Every time I take my Sanyo out of my DK and place it back in, it's discolored. Just like was said, the color returns after periodically turning it off and on after reinstalling it. It usually takes about 30 minutes of being off, for the color to return.

also did your cap kit include the caps for th powersuply section i know after i did a cap kit on one of my 20-ez monitors i went thrue with a cap tester and found 5-6 other bad o margina caps the main bad ones were in the ps section

The 20EZ cap kits Bob Roberts sells don't include a power supply. In fact, after searching the net, I couldn't find a cap kit for my PP7B supply, so I had to tear it apart and make a list of the caps in mine.
