Help! My Super Mario game has been randomly going out. I thought that everything was going to be okay after all the new parts were on, but not the case. I did a cap kit, new flyback, new regulator and replaced that thing on the heat sink also. Anyhow the picture looks great... untill it wiggles for a second and then shuts off. I guess it's going into shutdown mode, but I am not sure why. I have had some trouble with the B+ adjustment. No matter what I do it will not go to 108v. When I turn the b+ pot it seems to go from about 94v to 98v and then if I turn it any further it jumps to 120 and shuts off.
The game is located at my friends music shop, and customers are getting pissed that it goes black in the middle of a game. Argh! The cap kit did not come with the big filter cap. Could that be the problem? Why is the power jumping?

replace the b+ pot. I had a bad one before, once you take that one out you will most likely see the crack in it.

hey, I was going to put together a Mouser order, do you know what the replacement for the B+ pot is off hand?

Looking in the manual I have right here it says VR601 B+ pot is 10k ohm.

I bought mine from Bob and his site just says "20EZ Replacement B+ Pot $1.00"

update on annoying sanyo

Well I went to Radio Shack and got a 10k ohm pot. I put it on and the b+ is still not adjusting to the 108 volts. I thought maybe I did a bad job of soldering it on so I pulled it back out, and put a tester on it. It seems to be working right, it goes from 0 to 10 when I put the probes on it and turn the thing. The screen is still going out randomly somtimes it stays on for 30 min. sometimes it shuts off after 30 sec.
