Did a cap kit and monitor fired up. It needed h-hold adjustment.(in middle of chassis)so i adjusted and it. With my finger still on the pot i heard a small click and the monitor went out. When i would turn it back on, it would work for a few seconds. And then cut back off.any ideas.also can someone give me the resistance measurments for ic601.. With ground on pin 9 and positive on pin one, then move positive to pin 2 etc.(OUT OF CIRCUIT)
Thanks in advance!!!

i have seen the H-Hold pot cause this issue and i have also seen the chassis cracked around it causing that issue.

i chased that same issue for several years before i found the broken trace.

it was a broken trace from D452 and R453 and a new H-Hold pot and it came back to life.

Depending on how quickly the initial startup into H-Hold adjustment went (if <20 secs), then that sounds like textbook HV shutdown to me. Adjust your B+ down.

When rebuilding Sanyo's you MUST reset B+ after recapping. Elementary, but still.

i replaced the b+ pot. when the monitor first came on. it need h-hold adjustment.. the monitor ran for at least a minute. as it began to hold, it cut off. then after that it would only stay on a few seconds.i checked the voltage. it was at exact 108v.. as it shuts off it shoots to 140v.

voltage showing 145v at ac fuse and dc fuse. any ideas? would ic601 cause higher voltage?
