I've done quite a bit of work to this chassis and I am having a problem with this line down the left side of the screen I can't seem to adjust out. So here's what I've done. Full cap kit, flyback and reflowed many connections on the bottom of the chassis. Honestly, there were quite a few cold solder joints.

I need to go back and measure b+ just to verify it's still correct, but has anyone seen this? By moving the horizontal position pot I can move this line across the screen.

It's not a board problem that much I have eliminated. I could try this chassis on a different tube to rule out the tube?

This was a problem before the flyback change. The flyback was snapping so instead of trying to extend it's life with silicone etc. I decided to change the fly hoping it would help or eliminate this issue as well.

I,ve tried a couple different boards and they yield the same result. I adjusted the B+ last night. It was a bit low 90V. After adjusting the B+ and playing around with all the brightness adjustments and horizontal positioning I can get the bar off the visible area of the monitor.

I did have some problems with the power supply originally, is it worth trying another supply? Not sure I can justify it, but it's worth a shot??

Hey guys,

Cap issue huh.

I bought the cap kits from Bob Roberts: (3 x Sanyo EZ20 Deluxe Capkit - $36.00)

Modessitt: What other caps.(outside of the deluxe kit) should I change as well?
