I have to rebuild my donkey Kong Sanyo monitor and I was wondering if there is a parts list off all the parts needed to completely rebuild one. I know I need a cap kit and a fly back. Is the B+ included in the cap kit? Also should I replace the HOT?

Thanks
Ted

Bob Roberts has three ca kits for it, standard, plus and deluxe. Prices are $5, $7 and $12. If you are going to pull the monitor you may as well do the deluxe for a few dollars more, it includes caps for he audio too.

Thats what I was figuring. I guess I am just confused about replacing the B+ and the HOT. Does he include those in his kits?

The B+ is a designation meaning "operating voltage". Bob doesn't include that in his kit. You get that from the isolation transformer ;-)

I think you have to buy the HOT separately but if you e-mail bob he will tell you for sure.

Well I feel dumb lol. So the B+ is measured at a cap and that gets replaced?

It is the B+ "potentiometer" that typically gets replaced. (where you adjust it at)
Not sure if Bob carries those or not, If I recall it's an oddball 3K Ohm or something.

I really don't think that your monitor needs a rebuild, at least not yet. Before you go all apeshit on this, let's resolve your PCB issues first.

Yeah, I agree!
Your monitor looks fine.....a cap kit never hurts. It looks like it's got some magnatism (which, a cap kit won't help).

You've got motherboard or power supply (or possibly, both) issues.
