Sanyo EZ question (should be really easy for the right person)

This monitor works great after it warms up. I capped it and put a new flyback on, it was really screwed up before. I tested the b+ when it was on and it was perfect. But why does it take like 3 minutes to get good? I put the meter on while it was "warming up" and the b+ slowly creeps up.. as it gets closer and closer to 108, the slower a rate it moves up. What is causing this? The filter cap is what I suspect, but I don't know much, I've never run into this before.

Anyone?

could very well be. Cap gets hot and gets better as it is warming up..

COuld be a lazy crt also. TO be honest, if a monitor looks good after a couple mins im usually happy it works and run it.

it cant hurt to replace the filter cap it's one of the hardest working caps on the chassis.
they are already old so why not it's easy and you wont have to worry about it.

you can also as cadillacman said and test the tube. it may be getting weak and possibly needs a pick me up.

I don't have a new one on hand so I took one off a dead chassis and it works great now. Look at the old one:

Man, that thing is U-G-L-Y!!!

BUT, you do realize if you would just leave your games on 24/7 you wouldn't have to worry about tubes slowly warming up. :poke:

j/k :D

Yes, well. :)

I really need a bezel for this thing so I can put it in the store. I'd hate to put it in as is.

yup that will do it.

this is the reason i change out all the filter caps on all the old model chassis i work on.

some may not need it but why chance it:)

glad it fixed your problem.
