Hi, I have a Sanyo 20EZ monitor that would turn on, but only have a black screen. I saw the B + was at 108v so I didn't give that much thought at the time. I then cranked the brightness up to the max on the flyback and managed to get a bright screen.

The problem now is after letting it run for a few minutes I noticed the voltage slowly dropping. The brightness also faded away with the drop. I've had it running for about 30 minutes now and it's struggling to stay at 100v. The screen is black with fairly dim vertical lines going through it. Haven't messed with the caps or anything yet and from the looks of it it's been sitting a long time. I can try adjusting the B + pot to get it back to 108v, but will that keep it from dropping?

Yeah, I'm probably going to end up doing that. Just curious if this is a seperate problem entirely before I go to the trouble (and in case I need to order extra components).

It sounds like the issue is cap related. You'll want to get the deluxe cap kit w/sound board repair kit from Bob Roberts. Might as well get the B+ filter cap and the B+ replacement potentiometer as well. That should cover all your bases and get you up and running with a sharp picture for some time to come.

BTW: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=111041 indicates bad b+ pot, or bad IC601. Do the caps anyway.
