Hello,
Can someone help , I have vertical collapse and replaced tr402 and tr403 and still the same problem just a thin line in the middle and the service sw is in the normal position, I may need the LA 1464 chip? any clues...thanks

I don't know, yoke, maybe resolder the yoke pins? you got another tube you can try it on to further verify this?

check that the trace from R423 to D401 is not broke.
it gets broken during a cap kit some times.

i have lifted the trace twice myself. and it needed a jumper. i have also seen the trace broke on chassis that i have got from non working games as well.

vertical collapse

Hello,

Did a cap kit and resolder all that I saw, my b+ is at 110 ,but still the same problem, I move the service sw back and forth and still the same ,any way to by pass it,should I change tr401 and tr451 ,also checked the diode d401 and test ok any clues?

thanks

did you check the trace for continuity between the resister and the diode some times the trace is bad.

if you got the deluxe kit from bob the two transistors are the same for the audio and tr402-tr403. you can swap them from your audio amp to see if that fixes your problem if you did not get the deluxe kit.

vertical collapse fixed

Hello,

I found the problem , diode d454 was shorted and resistor r473 was way out of spec (32meg) needed to be 1 ohm ,tr401 open plug it in and worked fine ,thanks for all the help...
