Sanyo 20EZV B+ voltage skyrockets after cap kit

Capped my Popeye monitor today hoping to resolve the no-video issue. After the cap kit, I get no audible power. I get no high voltage, not a peep. I check the B+ from the BJ test point and where it used to read 108v before the cap kit, now reads 138v. The pot will not change the voltage.

Now what.....
 
Obviously the regulator circuit isn't working.

First you need to identify which components form the regiulator circuit and then check the transistors and diodes in that circuit for poor solder connections and measure them to see if one or more is shorted.

This might seem obvious but these tests are done with the POWER OFF!!!
 
I had this problem on a few monitors, only it was low voltage that wouldnt change. On one, I installed a new B+ Pot, and it measured 108 and worked fine. Those B+ Pots suck, and Bob Roberts sells them for 1+ each.
