Have a punch out with a sanyo 20ez which the screens shakes ever so slightly - not like the hula. The thing was blowing fuses when I got it and I ended up replacing nearly everything in it - a cap kit, new HOT, Flyback, filter cap and IC... any ideas what would cause this? I tried adjusting the vert hold and hor on the pcb itself to no avail.

Thanks

1. Center Brightness pot VR351
2. Center Sub-Brightness pot VR 301
3. Center Master Brightness pot on the Flyback T452
4. Center the B+ pot VR601

Turn the monitor on and let it warm up for approx 5 minutes.
Adjust the B+ for +108vdc
Adjust the Brightness using VR351 (if it is too bright, center VR351 and adjust the Sub-Brightness VR301 and fine tune with VR351)

Does it now still have the shimmies/shakes?

Hi Dokert,

I followed your instructions - got 108v and did the adjustments after the warmup. Still getting the shakes.

Thks,
Pat

Plug this monitor into one of your other Nintendos, and see if it still shakes. If it no longer shakes, then it is either a boardset issue or a harness issue. If it still shakes it is definitely a monitor issue, and I would suggest reflowing all of the headers.
