Sanyo 20EZ. HV shutdown, no neck glow. Found a cracked neckboard

I am working on a recently acquired Sanyo 20EZ that has a B+ of 130, no neck glow/picture and after examining the neckboard, found that it is cracked in two. Yikes!

I tried to find and repair/jumper every broken trace and checked for continuity on the neckboard. I thought I repaired all the issues. With no neck glow, do you suspect that this is still a problem with the neckboard and something I haven't located yet or do you think it is something with the main chassis/tube?

Thanks for the help!

if you haven't capped it, do that first. and replace the B+ pot. that will bring things back into tolerance.

after capping it and it is still in shut down.
your IC601 and/or Q901 may be bad and/or the old metal B+ pot could be bad if you did not change it.

but a cap kit is in order first and continue to look for broke traces. the chassis on a sanyo is one of the most fragile chassis that are out there and break very easy. if not handled with care when removing or installing them you will crack/break them.
then make sure that the B+ is adjusted to 108vdc.

Yes, I should have stated that I did a cap kit. Replaced the B+ pot and filter as well as replaced Q901. I have not replaced IC601. I will also inspect for broken traces/joints. Should I see neck glow when it is in HV shutdown?

no you should not see neck glow if in HV shutdown. because your fly back is not being utilized and you get your heater voltage from a winding in it.

figured this out. Found an open trace from the cracked neckboard that I missed the first time. Bridged it and the monitor fired right up. Got a steady 108 B+ going now and beautiful picture.
