This monitor looks great other than the squiggle along the edge as shown. It has a fresh cap-kit. Any ideas on what to look for to fix this?

Thanks guys!

I've heard GO7 don't work well with Multi boards on that side. maybe that might have something to do with it. I honestly dont' know. What kind of board you using?

It's one of the boards that I got from Nixs. But it did the same thing with the Centipede board that was in there before so I'm pretty sure it's the monitor and not the PCB that's the problem.

It's common to get some squiggle/drop off on the left with Sanyos and running DK and DK Jr. boards. It's usually caused by a flakey VR2 allignment pot that's on the game PCB. Fiddle with that pot and it goes away.

I have no idea whether something simliar exists on your setup there but you might check the vertical allignment (which would adjust left/right horizontal screen position because the monitor is mounted vertically). The adjustment would have to be on the board or somewhere else because as far as I know its not on the monitor.

That's all I got, which probably won't help.

I adjusted everything I can see to adjust. Does anyone out there have any idea of something else I can try? I'm stumped!

Daily bump hoping someone has seen this before.

Maybe I should post it on the Rasterlist news group. Oh wait....

All the G07's i ever tried to hook up to 60 in 1's have had similar issues.

You just have to play with the geo settings and B+ till its "good enough"

Anyone else got any good ideas? It's not a G07....it's a Sanyo. Does it look like a pot issue to anyone here? If so, which one? If the monitor were mounted horizontally, the squiggly line would be on the bottom edge. Just for orienting purposes.

on the one i had it was a broken trace from D452 to R453 and a new H-Hold pot and it came back to life.

Bumping this up again. Anyone have any clue what could cause this on a Sanyo? This one is going to be my nemesis.

did you replace the pot or just try and clean the old one.

i had to replace the pot.

also check the resister R453, R472, and D452 and see if there good as they feed IC401 directly from the flyback.

or replace the IC401 and see it that takes care of it.

Which pot are you specifically referring to?

the H-Hold pot. on the chassis.

I am told that pot is 3k and obsolete and not available.
I found some that are a bit smaller and rated at .01 w instead of .02 w.
I had to spread the legs a little but it fit.
I couldn't get the pic to sync and it went crazy when I touched the pot.
I replaced it with this one and now it works great.
They are dirt cheap but there is a lot of other great things on their site for dirt cheap also.

It doesn't really look like it is, but sometimes I get squiggles like that if the screen knob on the flyback is up too high.
