Sanyo 20-EZV Mario Wide Body - Smoke? Vertical Collapse?
Hi guys,
I just picked up a widebody cab today that was sadly converted to double dragon. I will be converting it back to a MB.
I brought the machine home today opened it up and looked around, pretty clean on the inside, a little dusty, nothing too crazy.
I fire it up and I get:
This is the vertical collapse I always see people posting about correct? I could see the line across the screen flicker a bit when i put a credit in and moved the joystick, so I am guessing this is the case.
There was no audio and when checking the pots, i noticed that the Volume pot was broken from the board, so that will need to be replaced.
Also, when i first powered on the machine and i saw the line across the screen I went around back and my cousin said "something is smoking" I looked and it looked like some smoke was coming from the flyback and inverter board area. I unplugged the machine, nothing smelled like electrical components frying. I blew it out with a air compressor to try and get any dust off the board. I fired it back up and nothing was smoking this time, and I still have the line across the screen.
Could the smoke have been dust burning off the thing since it hasnt been powered on in months?
I shall begin following the flow chart for this monitor if this is the vertical collapse. Bob roberts is the guy who sells the cap kits and transistors I will need to replace correct?
Thanks,
Chad
