I'm doing a cap kit on my DKJR Sanyo 20 EZV and at C407 the kit supplies a 10uF @ 250V but the chassis has a 47uF @ 160V in it now so what gives?

Do I put the one in that came in the kit (from Twisted Quarter) or do I get one to match the existing one??

Voltage can be higher but uF must always match. Get a new one. Only other thing I can think of is the 10uF one might be a modification done deliberately as part of a service bulletin at one point. I'm sure Ken Layton or someone will swoop in and answer.

The online cap kit lists C407 as a 10uF 250v cap.

So, we check the manual next and find C407 is listed as a 10uF 160v cap.

So the new cap is the right one. The old cap was not...

O.k finished the cap kit with the one the kit provided put it back together and......

Any thoughts or suggestions

Thanks man
I got it adjusted the H hold (which I most likely moved while doing the caps) adjusted the brightness and she looks great.

Cheers thanks for the help :)

Glad you got it sorted. The H Hold always needs to be adjusted after a cap kit, from what I hear. I had a hell of a time getting mine adjusted out for some reason after my cap kit. Dokert was kind enough to guide me through it.
