I just capped my Mario Bros. monitor, looks like brand new. Only thing is the picture doesn't fill out the length of the screen. I've got a good half an inch of empty screen on both sides. I tried using the horizontal width coil to stretch it out, but I can't turn it anymore. Any suggestions? -Mike

Also, the inductor on the main PCB of the chassis, L454, (looks like a green cap) does anyone know if theres a replacement for that? Mines looking kinda bulgy. Thanks!!

I'm having the same problem......I guess that doesn't help the thread along, but just wanted to let you know you aren't the only one. :)

Well Im expecting either Ken Layton or Modessitt to come along and save my ass again on this one, so stay tuned and hopefully they can help us both!! :)

Check your B+. On the Sanyo, it drifts a lot after a capkit. You're supposed to be at 108v, if you're less than that the picture will be smaller.

+1 No cap-kit done though (only the "fold-over" cap).
I ordered a kit from Bob Roberts with all those various capacitors (non-electrolytic one's) that you are supposed to experiment with to see if you can increase the size.
Haven't gotten around of doing that yet though...

My DK and DK jr boards also have this "issue" (except it's vertical instead of horizontal in this case cause of the way the monitors are mounted). I think it's just how they are, and wouldn't worry about it too much.

If it's normal so be it, it just looks like a waste of monitor space to me and seems like it'd look better widened out a little.

I'm gonna check the B+ adjustment today and make sure it's normal.
