my monitor is not displaying about 2in on each side? i tried the v size(being sideways) and it either adjusts to fit in space or loses part of screen. so i unplugged board so only monitor would come on and and the white glow does not fill screen allthe way to sides? its a narrow box? do i need to slide tube back for wider picture? seems like adjustments on board adj whats inputing. the monitor running alone with no inputs is not filling its self.help! thanks

here is pic of game screen and monitor w no input. you cant see in pics but there is about 2 inches of monitor on each side that is not being filled. if i adjust vertical size knob(which is really horizontal)to try to make wider it will just fold over the two sides where the 2 inches on each side is blank???? thats what i was trying to show with 2nd pic.....the white screen needs to get wider to fill glass.

Your problem is most likely C407 or C410. But I would do a whole cap kit as the others are likely to go bad soon as well. So your fix would be to install a cap kit. There are many places you can get these from. If you've never done one get one from Bob Roberts, his come with a good map and directions

thanks. and that will make the display wider again? is it a good idea to replace flyback while out?

dokert is the man!!!!

hey, thanks so much..... just got done capping the sanyo, still alive, and foldover gone. my screen is wide again and looks great. andthanks for telling me to re discharge before reassebly because i didnt see or here anything when disassebled but did get a spark before re assembly. i dont know if i can recommend lizard lickdue to they shorted me a 250v 10uf and a 250v 100uf so i did not do c410 or c471. but i think prob was c407 as leg came right out of. thanks again

i have double donkey kong so heres a pic of both screens. i have a power supply ques also. ever since i got this machine. sometimes the slightest tap or shake of the machine resets game board(not monitor) random characters, flip upside down etc. seems like if i tap on power supply it happens???? opened power supply and checked connections but everything seems tight. any idea? thanks

A lot of prepackaged cap kits you order from websites don't include certain caps for various reasons. There is an ongoing thread here where KLOV'ers post complete or more complete cap kit lists that you can order from www.Mouser.com. Next time you need a cap kit see if it's posted in that thread. If you'd like to know how complete the list is you can always ask the member who posted the project.

By the way, I had that exact same problem with my DK cocktail and a cap kit fixed it right up. Looks great!
